    If there were ever a moment I wish I was wrong, it'd be now. I don't even care if not all jobs can be used by all classes. Hell, they can lock melee jobs into DoW classes for all I care. I just don't want to only have one optional role for my preferred class. I'll hope for the best and assume that it's only temporary until they work out the bigger ability balancing, logistics, etc., but I really hope it they don't stick with the 1 to 1 permanently.

    Right now you may only get one specialisation per class but later when more jobs/class come out maybe you allow to play more then one let's just wait for the update so far am looking what the dev just post 1job for one class.

    I'm really hoping that. It could be that creating quests (and maybe....cutscenes?! :tries not to get hopes up: ) is a big task, so 1 per class is the most they can do right now.

    Seriously, getting groups for instances would be so much easier with 4 potential tank classes and 2 potential healers.

    I really think that Gladiator is going to unlock Dark Knight, because I really think Sentinel is going to unlock Paladin. It just makes sense to me(swords=knights, shields=tank), also they could add quests where your job can equip a different weapon.

    I really don't like this when it comes to conjurer. I don't want to be forced on to WHM when I want to play it as a BLM. Sure CON could just as likely become BLM but then THM would have to become WHM which makes even less sense and again I don't want to be forced into playing a WHM. I HATE HATE HATE healing. The only fair way to deal with the mages is to allow CON to become either WHM or BLM. You don't even have to allow instant switching of it. THM can become some other mages.

    Then Technically Conjurer and Thaumaturge can equip Paladin :P

    I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders.     True, but you normally don't think of a mage as a tank(though some people have made it work in this game).

    The mage 1H and 2H weapon being a reason GLA might get Greatsword, is SUCH A GOOD POINT! sorry. But damn it is such a good freaking point, its totally possible they could give GLA a greatsword since its a user of swords, like THM and CONJ use shield and wand or just stave.

    I was really wanting something as a cross between FFXI and Tactics, where you could have some that would only require a single dependency, and others that would require multiple. This works particularly well when you couple in DOH/DOL jobs - Dark Knight could feasibly require, say Lv 30 Marauder, Lv 20 Conjurer, and Lv 20 Botanist (scythe). Paladin would require Gladiator, Sentinel (whatever is going on with that), and Conjurer. Ninja could have Marauder, Fisherman, and Alchemist. Samurai could have Marauder, Lancer, and Blacksmith. Dragoon could have Lancer, Shepherd, and Carpenter. Etc. Getting jobs to 30 in this game isn't that hard at all, and I think the evidence is there that we won't be looking at getting capped at 99 this time around.

    As an aside, I'm really hoping that the addition of auto-attack includes DOL, so that those classes will get a bit of flexibility in the field, and they don't have to class-change every time they need to deal with a monster.

    I would like to cast the vote for more then one job per class... At least two would be ideal from the way I see things, thus allowing players to specialize the class one of three ways...

    1. The class itself
    2. Job one
    3. Job two

    For example (spec on my part)
    Conjurer could select a white mage or a black mage as it's job...

    Just a thought.
