That does nothing to assuage the fact that your argument is fundamentally flawed. The only reasoning behind your whole argument is that you don't want anything that isn't FFXI-esque. Well newsflash Mister, FFXI is dead and good riddance to it. I dance on its grave and laughed at its eulogy.

This is FFXIV, a game that is trying to make progress (and money!). It doesn't need to be hampered by FFXI enthusiasts and their nostalgia which would seek to impede any chance of success for the game by relying so heavily on tradition for tradition's sake.

There's a reason we don't keep slaves anymore. It's antiquated and just plain wrong. The same could be said for the majority of FFXI features, incuding class structure.
