Please do not lock Jobs to the Weapon Class that unlocks them.

Because then they'd be a musketeer. I think the whole armory system's point is being lost here. The idea was, each time they added a new weapon type it'd come with its own class complete with skills etc. The idea being that rather than wanting to use a gun on your Ranger, you'd just want to use a gun as your weapon and then gain the abilities that come with it.



Then you'd switch specialisation/class to use the weapon you liked, rather than try to bring it in to another class.

The Weapon Classes are not the same as Jobs and Jobs are not Advanced Weapon Classes.

Rather than being advanced versions of classes, we would like players to think of jobs as specialized playing styles optimized for partying.

So Musketeer is just the Weapon Class, but Ranger which is the job that specialized in Ranged Weapon Damage dealing shouldn't be locked from using Musketeer Guns, Archer Bows, or WhateverytheycallCrossbowusers and their Crossbows..

Usually they'd be called Crossbowmen or Arbalists(sp?).

"Arbalist" is just the weapon. They'd be an "arbalister."

Both are less common spellings of arbalest/arbalester.
