We also need a solution for double AF gear. I have 5 pieces of Monk AF I can't get rid of.

Your not talking to me are you?
Unfortunately, Yoshi has stated they have no plans for houses to have any storage.Ugh, good luck on that one. In FFXI there still are items, which have been around since Japanese Launch, that can't be stored with any of the NPCs and neither can they be sent to an alt.
But yes, Why have all but 3 Swimsuitslot int he Armoire?
Lets say the housing will be in a away you can store more at your house, it still will be getting quite full if you get each and every thing you can get which isn't sell able or otherwise useable.[snip]
In would LOVE it if the Armoire could hold Primal weapons.
Signed! As someone who is leveling all the DoL/DoH professions to 50, and getting each of the sets, my armory space is kind of limited (add to that the various DoW/DoM classes I have). I don't feel like I have any room for anything between crafting mats, and my armor sets, and then vanity items. The OCD in me is going crazy!
kinda lazy that they dont have a flag on the items to be stored
I took a look and noticed you don't do any real crafting nor have multiple level 50 jobs that you would have find gear space for... so I can see why you think it's just complaining - but the crafting materials for just 4 different crafting jobs kills all my retainer space by itself, not including the stuff from gathering jobs that I might need to store until I get open sale spots on my retainer. And it's not "junk" that I can just get rid of without a huge monetary loss (which I often end up eating a loss often anyway just getting rid of normal quality mats to save space). The problem is just getting worse though as I'm also starting to level up multiple DoW jobs. I can definitely see why some people are hurting on storage space in any case.

I recently "threw out"/sold a bunch of gear I thought was worthless only to discover (too late) that these items are needed for Crafting Recipes. I don't remember how I got them in the first place so time will tell if I am ever able to complete those recipes.

Some people argue just to argue.
If you were gearing up multiple combat jobs and doing a lot of crafting, which also require multiple gear sets, and cross class supplies, you might be a bit more understanding. Also, those "crap mats" you're throwing away often are needed down the road, far after you think you've outleveled them.
OP's QOL post has my support ♥
Great example here, I did the same thing. I'm guessing you mean those supposedly worthless lvl 30-40 "RP" gears that drop in dungeons. Those convert into some VERY nice crafting gear from what I recently discovered.I recently "threw out"/sold a bunch of gear I thought was worthless only to discover (too late) that these items are needed for Crafting Recipes. My crafters/gatherers are only in their teens/twenties and I only have one fighting class at cap, but ended up leveling an alt character to 15 just for more bag/retainer space and they are filling up fast. My original retainers are full and I'm taking up two screens in my FC storage as well. Yes, there's a storage problem in this game.
