Year one of FFXI? Well not when it came out in Japan I didn't, because I don't live there. I did play it when it came out to NA the first week.
Did FFXI do this kind of thing too? I didn't hear about. So I don't know.

I dont even think they had any form of feedback..
At the end of all this take it a day at a time. Hopefully we get E3 showing on these "looking into" things in visuals.
If not, then not.
SE is an old company, we are right to flame the lack of disclosure, but at the end of the day, it's the release that matters. Judge when something is out, not when it isn't.
In other topics, Tera's mechanics works because 1: they have no target system, aka natural AoE, and 2, they have excessive gimmicks, which FF14 isn't very good with. Let Tera be tera and FF14 be FF14.
Battle system is sounding more and more like FF11-x2...which I am neutral about since it's better then the crap system we have now, but inelegant. Hey at least they are going back to something they're good at, rather then something that is a grotesque monstrosity.
Question though, some of these Q&A sound old-ish. Is there a backlog somewhere? Or are these Q&A freshly complied?

3 Days ago, Foxclon said he was gathering feedback from users to give to the devs to create the Q&A in response to Matsui's big battle reform plan post.
He just posted the devs' answers yesterday, and Bay (or whoever does the translating over there) posted the English version today.
I'm very disappointed with the Q&A. The acknowledged the questions, and that was it. No concrete info past "removing stamina bar". It's almost June guys, aren't you supposed to have the new battle system ready soon?

"We will look into it."
"We will get back to you."
"We will tell the person in charge."
Where's my video?

Summary of the Q&A?
"We're looking into it" and "the action gauge is scheduled to be removed"
how informative!
