Maybe I should watch cutscenes during a run and turn off chat and see what happens . I guess I would be a douche for doing that tho . Can't win right![]()

I strongly disagree. The cutscenes are there to be watched, by new players and old players alike. You're 100% entitled to watching the cutscenes and keeping your chat window closed, because nobody has a right to shout at you during them.
That is, in a Duty Finder run. The DF runs for Prae/CM are primarily aimed at players trying to complete the story. That they became popular for speed runs, somehow, is beyond me, because it just isn't right to screw people out of their story cutscenes. It's not hard to just make your own group and queue with that.
In a premade speed run group, watching the cutscenes is equivalent to trolling, though.
TBH, those guys waited like what... 30-40 minutes for an instance? The least you could do is have some patience.
I mean, c'mon, the guys who watch cutscenes are the new guys, new players, with soft heart and cookies. Why give them the cold shoulder?
We tanks have practically no queue time, on top of it all, you can tank CM with just one healer. So, what was the point of ragequit?
Ah yes..it's Square-Enix's fault that people have no patience. It's Square Enix's fault that people who join runs via the Duty Finder should tell New 50s that their story is unimportant to the 5 minutes you'll save by telling them to skip cutscenes. You know...I think every Cutscene in CM and Prae should be mandatory - Just like the cutscene when you first start a new character. Maybe then it will shut up the douchebags who think their time is so important that they can't spare a few moments while someone else finds out why their story has taken them to those dungeons. Place the blame on yourself and people like you...not Square-Enix.

People are allowed to watch cutscenes.
If people are being rude to people who watch cutscenes, report them.
The. End.
There is no further need to argue about this. People can and HAVE gotten banned and suspended for being rude jerks in DF groups demanding people skip cutscenes and cussing at people who don't.
Long story short, don't do it. Make your own group if you want a speed run.
Uh... "you"? I never said I don't let people watch Cutscenes, I was just sharing that in my experience it's untrue that arseholes are suddenly patient when it's the tank watching them.
And yes, it is >>> partially <<< the fault of Square Enix because there will always be those who don't care about the cutscenes and are all "Gogoogo gotta get me some TOMESTONES". In fact they've already admitted to this by trying to rectify and have CM/Prae give less rewards.
Is it almost entirely the fault of these impatient folks? Of course. But you're never going to do anything about them, so might as well change the game to tell them to go elsewhere.
I was simply sharing my experiences, no need to get nasty.
I repeatedly join and withdraw from the queue as tank for several hours just for fun.
There is no need to be angry.
