Seasonal events: Underwhelming?

As far as the Moonfire Faire was concerned, I think the problem was it was rushed to satisfy player requests for the swimwear who missed out on the original ones in 1.0 - after all the usual timing of the event was technically too late for the launch of the game, so I presume SE were originally not going to bother with it this year, that is until players requested it.

All Saint's Wake however, I haven't done it yet so I can't be the judge on it, but it seems they've put a little more thought into it this time. I do kind of miss the imps from the original one in 1.0 though.

EDIT: finished the quests earlier and despite what some silly people on this thread are saying, I actually thought it was fun. I chuckled at the subtle tips of the hat to the Evil Dead films in the first two quest titles, and the FFVII joke made by the magic pot was hilarious (bringing back memories of all those elixirs I threw at the little buggers ). I also really loved how the evening city themes changed to Uematsu's original Halloween event music from 1.0 - I was very disappointed the original summer event music from 1.0 wasn't used in a similar way for the recent summer event, so this was definitely an improvement. Anyway, thank you SE for this fun event!
