    Fishing Leves

Yesterday, I tried for the first time to use leves for my Lv41 (legacy) fisher.

I was using the triple turn-in leve at Whitebrim, fishing at the fish hole in Choertas. After delivering my 9 fishes, I go back to the levemate to pick it up again and.... the leve was not amongst the available ones. I did hundreds of triple turn-in leves for crafting and, after delivering, I always find the leve available at the levemate.

Does it work differently for gathering classes?

    Thanks.

Yes - Fishing leves and indeed botany leves would appear to be different in that, although 4 leves are available, for some reason, it only offers you 2 at any given time - it would appear that after completion it will offer 2 more - The 2 always seem to be random - generally, I find out what leves are available for fishing then catch all the fish for the 4 leves - as many being hq as possible then I have some of whatever is asked for

    ok Thank you =)

would the leves available change over time or am I forced to take and complete one of the available in order for them to update?

...already tried getting one of the two available and abandoning it, but that did not change the available leves list... or maybe I was just unlucky lol

Another question, even if not related to OP, does GP help FSH at all? I would guess not.

I have not used gp with fishing because I have seen no instance in what would apply
I was doing fishing leves at quarrymill and had to leave game to log in to an alt - when I came back one of the leves was different than it had been before I logged out. My answer? Im not sure but you could try logging out and back in to see if thatchanges anything.

    Thank you very much Trakka.

about the GP, the funny thing is that Fisher AF gear gives you GP+... maybe the have some "hidden" usage...

I have read in some other forums that GP may be linked to the variety of fish you catch in each hole, with perception determining the likelihood of your catch being HQ.

The types of fish you can catch per area are pre-determined. Gathering increases your chance to actually land a fish while Perception increases your HQ chance. To the best of anyone's knowledge GP has no effect whatsoever on fishing.

Leves change around from the levemete every so often, but I'm not sure what kind of time period that is. You could try what Trakka said and see if logging into another character and then back to your main one forces a change or something. Otherwise it may be worthwhile to just try to have the fish on hand for the different leves available and just turn in one of the levequests to cycle them.

Also, invest in some Ignus Snails/Sludgeskippers if they're cheap on the AH. At 45 you can do levequests in Mor Dhona and get roughly 100k xp for the triple turnins - triple that if you have HQ versions. If there's none for sale or they're cost prohibitive, you can start fishing at the Burning Wall in Eastern Thanalan for Ignus Snails around 40 and they bite fairly regularly there. They can also be caught in Mor Dhona along with the Sludgeskippers.

I leveled to 50 purely off fishing leves. There is 4 leves per level set but only 2 are activated at a time. Fastest way to reset the leves available is to actually just complete one. When you complete and head back more often then not the leves will have changed. As the 2 of the 4 available is random you can get unlucky and have both of the previous two leves again.
