Following in His Footsteps can't complete

I'm trying to complete the level 45 WHM quest Following in His Footsteps. After I completed the first three pilgrimages, I went back to Raya-O-Senna and she told me to go /pray at the grave near Proud Creek. I killed the mobs around the area and used the /pray emote but in the middle of interracting another mob spawned and attacked me, interrupting my interraction. I didn't get any message or update in my journal. After killing the mob, I did the /pray again but nothing happens. I've logged out and in, went back to Raya-O-Senna but I can't get the quest to progress now, it's stuck. What do I do, I can't even abandon the quest and start over?
