    Did dungeons just get easier?

    So I just finished healing another run of Stone Vigil and I could have sworn that the enemies were doing a lot less damage than they used to.

    There was much evidence to support this theory:

    For instance, througout the dungeon I was constantly getting aggro from the tank and on one particularly difficult pack I was getting chain interrupts, yet we survived.

    Previously, pulling more than one pack would mean a guaranteed wipe. However the tank ended up pulling patrols all the time and we survived.

    On the final boss getting hit by aoe (especially the line attack) would generally mean instead death. This run it was barely taking our hp bars down by 70%. We survived.

    I really hope it was just a lucky run and that the place wasn't nerfed in a patch.

    Making dungeons easier was one of the biggest mistakes WoW ever made.
    It took something that was a fun, challenging, social activity and turned it into just another way to grind.
    Players became impatient. They stopped caring about threat and strategy and only cared about speed and topping the dps meters.
    The whole thing became a shambles and the general lack of order caused players to get quite irritable, especially the tanks.
    You ended up resenting the people you were playing with because instead of working together towards a common goal, it felt as though we were constantly fighting with each other. Tanks would fight damage dealers for aggro, damage dealers would fight each other for the top spot, healers would fight everybody when the whole sorry mess blew up and suddenly it was their fault that everybody died (yes, it's possible to die in easy dungeons. People get careless).

    To summarise: Please don't make dungeons easier. It is an idea that has been tried before and has failed. Challenges are fun, encourage co-operation and create better players all round.

    And this mentality exists at End Game. People demand you excessively outgear content to Speed Run it with them. And Heaven help you if you're a tank or a healer and something goes wrong. You'll see rage from the typical swearing to outright being told to shoot yourself in the face. People are indeed that bad if you in any way halt their precious runs by more than 2 seconds even when its not your fault.

    >> You might have been overhealing, thus the impression it was easier. Generally if a healer is getting aggro from the tank it means they're overhealing. (Medica II is a prime suspect here.)

    >> Could have been a better tank, or a tank who knew how to move out of AOE.

    >> The line breath isn't that deadly. Sounds to me like your first group was just undergeared and your second wasn't.

    Yes, I love this- Do not make dungeons easier... keep them hard... But I will require people to massively outgear a dungeon, so I can speed run it!
