The 12 digit code works on the PS3 fine most of the time, but unfortunately it is region tied to the PSN account. If for example they gave you a EU code, but your PSN was set to NA it wouldn't work. During early access people with NA accounts were sometimes being handed EU codes and the reverse. Though that should have long since been fixed.

Also back in early access I found that when I entered the code I had to enter it in the PSN Store redeem code because account management redeem code wouldn't accept it.

Oh, and I can't remember if this was a PC problem or a PS3 problem, but it is also case sensitive: you have to enter it all upper case.

I just entered my code today, and yes indeed the PS3 code doesnt look remotely like the code you need for the mogstation (I got 2 codes because of weird reasons and used both for my ps3 and pc copy)

Maybe ask the customer support where you should enter this specific code, because that code on it own seems to be just the download code for PSN but not the goodie code
