    Fists of win(d)?

Do yourself a favor if you don't already know this. Enable fists of wind, and then mouse over the actual buff on your status bar and read the effects.

Funny how the tool tip for the ability and the buff are different. Specifically, notice how the buff states that you get a bonus to weaponskill recast time.

If this is true, have we parsed this up against fist of fire and determined if it does truly give a reduction in weaponskill time that is comparable to the 5% increased damage from fists??

The tooltip is wrong and is from 1.0, Fist of Wind just increases your movement speed.

    Unfortunately, this.

I think it should though. As is I don't get much use out of any of 'em but Fire, which is a shame, I'm more of a speed guy. I was excited for Fists of Wind like I was Shoulder Tackle...they've both got their uses, no doubt, shoulder tackle a hell of a lot more than Fists of Wind, but I'm still letdown because I had daydreams of being a speed king, dashing from enemy to enemy...Instead I got a 90 second cooldown and a movement speed increase that's hardly noticeable, lol.

If it bleeds, it can die; if it can die, I can kill it; And there's no kill quite like overkill.

fist of wind is kind of useless curently since the speed boost is barely noticable but fire and earth both have it use.fire most of the time and using earth for aoe you cant avoid like on titan fight.only wind is useless

Do yourself a favour and see for yourself that when you enable the skill your GCD remains the same as before.

I wouldn't say wind is completely useless though, I have not stepped into coil yet, but I know when I'm doing Titan-HM's I switch between all 3 flavors of fist.

    1. Fire - I use this 99% of the time pre p5, and through all of heart of course.
    2. Earth - I use this during tremor, help the healers out
    3. Wind - I use this in P5, helps ensure I take absolutely no damage from anything avoidable. Gets me out of plumes faster, away from bombs quicker, and attacked the boss sooner helping to make sure I don't lose GL stacks.

This is legit. I wouldn't do it, but it's a good idea.

In the time it takes for Fists of Wind to take effect and provide a meaningful increase in distance moved you would be well out of anything Titan throws at you. It's pointless to activate it on the fly - it's something you either use ahead of time knowing you'll need to move a fair distance, or you don't use at all.

In P5, I am in Fists of Wind the entire time minus tremor, which I turn Earth on for - I do not turn Wind on "on the fly" - I don't turn any of them on "on the fly". It's a matter of knowing the fight, the rotation, and when the different fists are going to be best utilized.
