I'm not going to lie, when I started playing XIV I hated it. After spending a fair amount of time playing, I have grown fond of it. All of the little problems that are in the game are just that. Little problems. So we don't have voice overs, or there is copious amounts of text. Oh well, we have to deal with it and enjoy it. I mean don't we play to enjoy it anyway? Don't read too much into this, just the ramblings of a madman...

Do you think FF7 can't be better if they remake it and have voice overs?

Even if the NPCs just said hi when you came up to them or something, it would be a vast improvement to the vocally barren wasteland that is this so-called immersive story-centric game.

hah yeh they do this in a lot of other games, most NPC's have text dialogue but have a general welcoming sound, i love it. It adds so much characteristic for something so simple.

Are you actually asking for clarification or is this one of those rhetorical questions?

But maybe after you've finished trying to belittle me, you can go frollick in your lifeless wasteland of an MMO where everyone is a mute and you have to turn on your ipod in the background just to fill the void.

People say "I play itunes in the background anyway" like that's symptomatic of an already successful game. Ha. Don't make me laugh.

lol. Well, I actually agreed with you that most people would probably like it. I personally like having character voices left to the imagination. But I've also always been a bookworm. And I love Algebra. How did you know?

Play a game with 100% vo. You will slowly tune it out. Like in Elder scrolls or fable 2 and 3. I rather play a game then watch a movie tbh. Not hating vo, just do not find it appealing in video games. I read faster then an npc talks.

I think that more voice overs in the cut-scenes would be awesome. Specifically, more voice overs in the main plot quest, and in the job quests. Regular NPCs, side quests, and characters that don't talk in actual cut-scenes, no thank you. I can read much faster than I can listen to someone speak, and I don't want to be stuck waiting.
