Launcher opens but won't load just a black screen

Title says it has anyone else had this problem? I open the launcher and its just black theres no news no anything can't type in my password at all

Did I mention this was after the update I logged out and my game just went black screen so I had to end the process and now I can't see the launcher.

I'm having somewhat of the same issue, but in ym case, everything loads, except the login features.. but what comes up is what looks to be a bing search bar...I logged in earlier today like a few hours ago fine, then went to log back in, said version check failed or something along those lines, reopened client.. doesnt work.. I have tried restarting my internet and restarting my PC, nothing works

I had the same issue as Celleye and I resolved it by resetting my launcher settings through renaming the following file: C:\Users\{pc user}\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\FFXIV_BOOT.cfg
