    Level 50 cooking hopes

For level 50 espeically 2 star cooking, I don't mind the amount of the ingredience it takes as much as the yield that you get out of it. I really wish you got 3-5 items each synthesis. I would rather see food prices drop to a price where your average raider can afford to have a food buff on rather than 4k for a NQ item and 8k for a HQ item that only lasts for 30 min and is removed if you die.

Thinking of the same thing with alchemy yields.

On that note, I would very much like to see the food buff not go away when you die. I mean if you die, the food is still in your belly so did you throw it up when you were rezzed or something? Just being sarcastic about it but rather than thinking of it as a buff, it could be thought of like that from a role playing prospective.

Currently there isn't a single reason to even cook any 2 star stuff. You can't get the max benefits from them (except for like 1 of them). you actually come out better using the one tier lower foods.

With that said I also wish cooking yielded more. Having to spend 15 hours a week being one of the only 2 cooks in my FC to provide food for our raid week is brutal

Is it me or are foods such a let down in FF14 compared to FF11? The buffs are hardly noticeable. 4-6% buffs are just weak.

Food buffing seems functional in a cooperative FC. We have several dedicated gatherers and crafters who spend a good amount of playtime every week preparing consumables for both of our coil raid groups.

Going it alone and asking each member to craft or purchase their own food/potions will result in more than a few empty wallets. My advice is to join or create a self-sufficient FC by delegating crafting/gathering duties.

Yeh... this has been bothering me too.
My bf has 450 INT, the max food is like 17 INT? I wonder if it makes a big difference.
Worse even; tanks, they can have up to 600 VIT eh? What's 20 extra gonna do?

~300 more HP if math serves me right, which in turns translates to even more Effective HP. May not be that big of a deal but i'd rather have it than not.

If they can't make all food persist through death, at least make HQ food persist through death.

This would ruin the HQ food market. If you want a cheaper alternative, don't buy HQ food.

Imagine from the crafter's perspective that every Coil raider only has to have 6 pieces of food for 3 hours of raid time. Suddenly the market becomes even more cutthroat than it already is. The reward for getting Cul50 plus the subcrafts to reliably HQ the raiding foods is the fact that you can sell them in quantity. Heck, the time-profit margin isn't even that big anymore now that they removed Walnut Bread from the vendor.

Some of the food made (Looking at you La Noscean Toast) have a ludicrous amount of sub-creates you have to do to even make one food.
