Client does not close properly on exit.

Ever since maintenance this week, my client does not close properly when exiting FFXIV:ARR. It logs out into a black screen and just sits there. I have to end process in task manager to completely exit the programme.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions or fixes?

That same thing has happened to me 3 times since the maintenance this week as well. I've had to open task manager and exit it through there. Sorry I have no suggestions on how avoid it, but at least now you know you aren't alone

How are you exiting it? I don't know if this'll help, but when in game try /shutdown (it'll confirm you want to logout and then logout and should close as well). At least that's how I always do it and never have any problems. Sorry if it's no help though!

It's happened to me as well. Not every time I exit, but three times now I've had to use task manager.

Just want to say this happened to me for the first time after the hotfix patch as well. Im on 1/2 so far so cant say how common it is yet.

Had the same problem with the exception that I didn't have to open the task manager. I just right clicked the ffxiv tab in the task bar and closed it. I also noticed this only happened to me when I logged out/exited the game when not in a sanctuary. May have been coincidence but worth noting.
