Dravanian

It's pretty much the only race we don't know all that much about, but they're obviously VERY serious (compared to say, the Qiqirn) as they threw themselves at the empire to halt the first invasion. That also sets them up for (perhaps reluctantly) joining forces with the rest of the Eorzean Alliance.

Qiqirn and Goblin would sort of make sense too, but I don't see the Qiqirn randomly deciding to take up arms in support of the Alliance (or much of anybody) and the Goblins would need gas masks incorporated into every gear set.

The beast tribes (aside from the Sylph) would be a no go since [redacted for spoilers].

So I'm going with Dravanian.

Uh.. The Dravanians are an evil people who worship Dragons. And I'm pretty sure they worship Bahamut who obliterated the Eorzean Alliance Front at Carteneu. Not to mention the Ishgardians see them as heretics and a vile race. I don't think the Dravanians would oppose the Garleans summoning them Bahamut so they can worship him. I think you're mistaken.

I'd rather them focus on making the existing races have unique animations, as pipe dream as that is it's just easier to throw another human shape ontop of the single animation spine they have.

Viera if we're looking at plausible, moogle if we're looking at what they should do to add more variety to the races. Game lore kinda ruins that chance even though it'd probably be the best race ever especially if they hovered.

To be honest, I'd really rather they just add more customization options, emotes, etc for the existing races. Especially hairstyles and faces, or maybe even allow for a slight change in body thickness (degree depending on the specific race, or course -- no Roegadyn-wide Hyur or Elezen-thin Lalas!).

But if I had to pick one, I'd say Viera, because they'd probably be liked by a lot of people and could be good "competition" for the super popular Miqo'te.
