Exchange darklight for philosophy tomes?

Would anyone else be in support of the option to sell our DL pieces back to the NPCs, for 50% of their value or something? That way, we can get rid of DL gear that has been replaced and is collecting dust in our inventory, but you can't abuse the system by selling one set and immediately picking up a different one. Devs, is there any chance we'll ever see this feature?

No it is way to easy to get the tomes anyway.

pretty sure in a recent live letter (or dev response? I forget) they mentioned something about being able to turn your dl in later on to get back some tomes. I am sure someone can find a link of it, I'm lazy. :P

It was a recent dev post and they were thinking it could be implemented but it would take some time to figure out just how much pieces would be worth, etc.

No it is way to easy to get the tomes anyway.

That really has nothing to do with it though; the tomes being easy to obtain is irrelevant. I'm not saying this should be implemented simply to make it easier to obtain tomes. The problem is that once you replace your Darklight gear, there's literally no use for it. You can't turn it into materia, and you can't sell it. It's just filling up your inventory, but dropping it just feels like a waste. That's why we need to be able to get SOMETHING for it.

And they haven't even figured out what common items should be worth.

Should be a plain 10% return value for philo and 5% for mytho items if they implement something like that.

Save your DL gear and use it for other classes/jobs. More will be coming out later on and the gear will be able to be equipped by the new jobs. Also I think each DL can be used on 2 jobs each currently. So I buy my. Aster DL stuff and I can use it for blm smn and any new casting jobs. It will hold us over until we got myth tomes on those jobs which "should" take a really long time since it's capped at 300 a week.

I've just finished getting full DL for my 2nd job. (BLM) and my main (SCH) still uses bits as I slowly replace with the Myth gear, but once I have it theres no point.

Be even lucky to get that much if they implement it. Otherwise farming them will be better and keep the pieces you bought.
