I'm planning to host one every month up until the release of 2.1

Saw this line in the newest letter from the Producer in regards to Producer Live! thing. So, I mean...when exactly is 2.1 coming out again if he's planning a Producer Live! each month?

Yeah I notice that as well...I hope it's just a miss-translation, otherwise there should be at least 2 more live chat to say things in that way, which means 2.1 will be next year

Hopefully it'l be out in a few months. I was expecting late December, early January. Gotta give people some time to clear the current content before they pump more out. Not to mention, I'd rather have a decently tested patch, than them dumping something extremely broken on us. 2.1 is a fairly big content patch, adding alot of new features to the game.

I would understand the whole clearing content part if 2.1 was adding another tier to Coil but according to earlier letters they aren't actually adding more Coil stuff until 2.2 at the earliest. It was just kinda disheartening to read to say the least.

This caught my eye as well. This suggests to me that we won't be seeing 2.1 until December at least. If its around Christmas that's a full 4 months since release. I believe back in an old producer letter they said they were wanting major patches every 2.5 to 3 months. Now speaking for myself, I don't see myself getting too bored in between now and 2.1 just because the game is still new and I have so much to level and still experience. But I hope this isn't their plan for going forward. What about after we have most of the things we want at 50, leveled to 50? If they do plan to release patches every 4 months, that is not enough. Not for a subscription based game.

Of course, the long time between release and the first patch could also be partly due to the many many things they've had to fix. That's gotta split a team's attention and time a bit.

You very well may be right. I would absolutely not be OK with that. There is not enough in the game right now to hold many people for 5 months. I would probably be logging in less and less, leveling crafting classes and whatnot.
