Don't be scared to get a DF group for Titan HM

I used DF for practice plenty of times and it never went too bad until all the Fate-to-50 people started joining up. That's where the real problem lies. So many people don't run dungeons or anything as they level and Ifrit/Garuda aren't near as demanding as Titan, so their party experience with their class is limited, so their skill level will be lower for a while, topped with them being worse off in gear, and you have a recipe for a failed group.

Prior to this phenomenon it was quite normal for me to queue and get Titan to 3% or less in DF groups on NA/EU servers. It's not that JP players are better or worse, it's that all the good NA/EU players downed Titan long ago and are on to new content.

Yes it is cross server, but as others have pointed out, NOT cross data-center. So JP Worlds will never group with NA/EU worlds. Not to mention the entire data-center is split into groups and the servers in those groups only DF with other servers in said groups. So, yes, it does matter.

Less rude people to party with, "most" of the English players I met ingame are rude, ignorant, immature, etc. But then again "most" but not all of them.
On the other side, I rarely met a rude JP players, they're all friendly, intelligent, well mannered, I love them since v1.

I did several DF pugs for Titan, just to practice. I watched a video beforehand, but I wanted to get the feel for it myself while waiting for a FC run. I think it worked out fairly well. I mean, none of the pugs got past the heart, but it was good practice.

definitely don't be scared to go into DF to do the Titan fight. It's great practice. You're probably not going to complete it but there's enough groups out there that can practice up to Phase 5 and that's all you really need.

Earlier tonight, my friend and I said enough was enough. We decided to pay a group to clear it. My friend was generous enough to share the cash to pay for the two runs. When we got to the runs, both myself and my friend performed perfectly. Did we get carried? Yes, but that didn't mean that we didn't have to move out of the way, know all the patterns and do what we're supposed to do. Everything I did in that fight was of my own skill/knowledge. The Duty Finder allowed me to perfect the fight and from then on, the success hinged on other people not making mistakes.

I prefer DF cuz Mor Dohna groups i was in all died before phase 3.... i lost hope on killing titan, seriously thinking to buy it. I understand that you cant dodge 100% but getting hit by landslide 3 times in row in one try is just joke.

You have also to consider, more and more people (with DL gear etc.) try Titan more and more with DF, so the chance to win with DF gets higher by every day.
Yes, as a tank it sucks to see most people die before heart phase, because as a tank your real job starts after heart phase (table flip / your cooldowns).

Yeah i've seen a few of those groups, get past heart easily, then it all goes down hill. They start getting lax on dodging, we stop getting past heart, etc. People can't perform consistently.

I do not see why a DF group would be any worse than a shout group. Except if you are one of those "RELIC + DL ONLY" guys. Otherwise the quality you can expect is the same. Only that people enter DF with lower expectations and do not rage as easily.

The tanks dpsing in titan can be quite a pain, I don't know why they think they can just do enmity moves like crazy and believe they wont take threat away, worst than that just the whms that medica II like crazy and then complain that tank can't hold Titan.

I finally got a group that worked using DF on Titan, have to say the only one overgeared in it was the Warrior that tanked it(8k+ HP), Titan is nothing to be scared it is pretty much 3 phases of dodging, one of burning cooldowns dpsing and lb if necessary and then another phase of dodge. In other words it is more important to be able to dodge stuff than to actually be able to do great dps during the entire fight and most of the time groups don't have enough dps at heart because one or more dps are dead before getting there.

I have a few friends that got cleared from Titan using duty finder. However, most of the time, the epxerience from duty finder is that they would never make it to phase 5 while most wins are coming from pure luck with a good group. Whereas shout group can get to phase 5 most of the time but never been able to beat the boss.

So my take is that duty finder or not, it is really down to your individual luck in getting the right people with right minds completing it.
