Thread: When is 2.1 Update Coming Nov, Dec, or Jan?

They had quite a few issues with launch. They just finished implementing a transfer service that was supposed to go out a month ago. Not saying "how dare they" or anything, but they've been doing a great job of getting what they need done, done. But it's took time and that is definitely going to reflect on the release of their first major patch. Don't expect until late Dec.

I think they're probably about a month behind, so we'll probably see it late November, early December.

As far as Crystal Tower being fine tuned and that's why it wasn't included in launch.... yea.

Didn't they say at first that 2.1 would be November? And now it is changed to December. They shouldn't give such specific timeframes because should they have to delay it due to difficulties it reflects poorly on them. "Late 2013-early 2014" would have been a better target date.

Considering the Crossover FATEs should be starting Nov 14, 2013 (at least the Lightning FATE is confirmed for this date), I'd say that it would probably be Maintenance on Nov 13 for 2.1 launch on Nov 14.

It doesn't reflect poorly on them, find me an MMO with zero release delays/issues. It's the rabid attachment to any date given regardless of any issues that may come up that is the issue. Honestly, by now people would expect delays in each and every mmo. It's the nature of the beast.
