It'd be nice to have the camera at the right height.
Fund it!

Only the curious have something to find.
I'd really like it if we could have the proper first person Lalafell camera at the right height, too!
This is clearly Lalafell discrimination! My necks hurt. Stand up Lalafat!
This does seem like a...really kind of awfully annoying thing. I know a great part of my enjoyment with first person mode is getting to enjoy the difference between my character's height and others (Elves and Roegadyn are so *tall*...)
There's a first person camera in this game? Dang. Time to play ffxiv like it was skyrim!
I support this. Give lalafell their true first-person view!
I support! I'm short and I want to see like I'm short!

OP you said you did all of the adjustments. Did this include the "3rd person camera angle" adjuster in config?
Well I am used to playing tall characters in fact played the tallest Elezen model until Miqo'te came along and changed my perspective on Elezen only gameplay.. but I did notice it was hard as hell to take centered screenshots of Lallafel no matter what I did, I finally tweaked some odd angles so it gave me some perspective on just how frustrating it must be to have that height but not have the cameras compensate for it.
So in a tl/dr I am for this to be optional for Lalafels and other height challenged races/genders.

Hai! I'm Vahl, in ur mmorpgs, sort'n my inventory and putt'n 2 many H's in my name since FFXI..FFXIV Inventory Tetris Champ
Eee thank you you lot for the replies x.x I've been reading and liking but I was loathe to go and just barefacedly bump the thread so..
I did indeed -while that certainly helped with having my hotbar obscuring Forra completely while playing in third person view, I'm afraid it didn't make a jot of difference to the way the first person camera loiters way above my head as - as someone put it so well - if it were in fact showing me the perspective of the invisible cat that lives up there.
.. While roleplaying a blind character who views the world through the eyes of such a familiar sounds.. moderately entertaining, it's not really compatible with Forra or Rorina's concepts, and as such.. well.
Still I do see the point about compensating for height, but for goodness sake there are so many other drawbacks to playing in First Person mode, why cripple it's one advantage of showing you the world as your character perceives it? Even if that is the reason I'd.. still like a rep' to up and say so. And even then the option to have a 'true perspective' mode would be all the better.
As Pyre1million up there said, part of the fun of playing a Lalafell is just seeing how massive everything is compared to you, and this first person mode flaw kind of undermines that. I mean yeah it's still way lower than most, but it's so jarringly different from what your character would see and looks down on members of your own kind are actually taller than you..

Yes! Please fix this! I'm the tallest setting on a Lalafell and the first person camera still sits above where my eyes should be.
