    Bard - Foe's Requiem Change

So Foe's Requiem can be a good skill to use when your other songs are not needed. Face it, it doesn't deflate DPS and can seriously inflate DPS for those using elemental damage (which is a skill or two for nearly everyone). What's tough about it is that it creates an aggro radius around the bard and seriously dinks up pulls in dungeons.

If it were a passive area debuff without aggro, then I would see it put up more often in dungeons and the bard would be doing more singing than just OOM and OOTP moments.

Requiem works fine with SMN and BLM.

Right, it works great, but nobody is using it in AK, WP etc because it pulls enemies with it's aggro range. The idea is to remove that part.

though I agree with your sentiments, we have to see that foe requiem is not a buff, but a debuff to the enemy, and debuffs pull mobs just like virus. maybe they should just change it to a buff to players instead?

I'm curious, does Foe Requiem cause an accumulation of enmity/aggro/hate over the course of a battle? Or is it merely the initial application of the debuff that creates the aggro?

I wasn't aware that it pulls aggro.. But then again it is my least used song so I haven't had much play with it.. Only times I pull it out is when I have a caster in my party and we want to burn down something like Demon Wall..

Good question if it continues to build aggro. I used it during Odin this morning and ended up tanking him each time I used it. Could be that tanks died and unrelated. As far as using it when you have casters, I believe every class has something that is checked against resistances. I believe Venomous Bite and Windbite are both affected by resistances.

According to Testing posted to Reddit- Foe Requiem Testing, Venomous Bite/Windbite/Flame Arrow are all actually applied as Physical damage.
This can be tested by casting them on the Soldiers in turn4 that are immune to physical damage.

According to all testing so far, Foe Req only works with Blm and SMN attacks, regardless of what tooltips say.

That's fantastic info. Not many in turn five right now, so that's great confirmation!
