Best choice for Oceanic/Australia player

I searched for this topic and only found some older posts, so while the server transfers are up what is the best server an Aussie girl?
Obviously having the right time zone is important but I'm also looking to reduce ping, currently I am on an EU/NA server and it is so bad I can't complete a lot of the later game stuff. Moving out of an effect can still kill me as It's up to 4 seconds behind.
I assume it is a server issue as several other Australians on the same server have the same problem and I've heard that JP servers might be a better option.
So, If anyone can give me some help or ideas I would really appreciate it

Tonberry has a very lively SEA+AU+NZ population, with two or more large FCs.

I have heard that Tonberry is the 'Unofficial' Oceanic realm, but I've also heard it's fairly full, does anyone know if it is part of the free transfers?

Or for the ping issues am I just better off moving to any of the JP realms? I've read that the difference can be huge and seeing as I am getting up to 4 second delays in combat anything is an improvement

That's a pretty big stereotype you're throwing out there. I haven't met one sexist person in all of Hyperion yet.

That being said, if you're an Aussie, the JP servers will give off better performance for you- and that will matter when it comes to fights with a lot of dodging, such as Titan. so I'd go with the previously mentioned suggestions.

An Aussie girl would be most suited to Gungnir.

But really. we have a smallish EN speaking community on Gungnir now. most of us are in the same time zone as JST(AU) which helps. But if you're looking for highly populated servers (for Au players) Tonberry would be your best bet.
