    C++ R6025 Runtime exception

    Time: Since game went live
    Frequency: Several times per day
    World name: Goblin
    Character name: Sup Mang
    Steps:
    1. Play the game in a crowded area for several minutes
    2. NPCs fail to load
    3. Teleport or ride Chocobo, basically do anything to cause the game to load new areas
    4. Eventually the game will make a sound and your hardware mouse cursor will replace the one ingame
    5. You'll now have the fatal exception referencing a C++ Pure Virtual Call R6025.

enable local crash logging using the reg file provided in the following up

    http://www.mediafire.com/download/x4.../localdump.zip

you can find the dmps under %appdata%\local\crashdumps

pack them up and put them on a file locker like mediafire.

I've got 2 things you can try. First is update your video card driver, though it looks like you did that about a month ago so I doubt that's the problem. Second is to re-install C++.

Granted I can't guarantee that either of these will fix the problem, but it's better than sitting there and not trying anything.

you dont need to reinstall c++ but maybe go back one driver version for the graphic card. sometimes the newest doesnt always work as intended with games

and I wouldn't download anything given to me by someone else than a GM/Admin/SE emplloyee directly asking me to do so, god knows what is in this zip file.

Hello! Thank you all for your posts concerning this issue. It appears that this issue may be a technical issue rather than an actual bug. The Technical Support boards also contain discussions where technical-savvy users assist other users in technical troubles they may be experiencing. As such, I will be moving this thread over there so that you can gain the proper assistance and an appropriate solution for your specific case. Thanks again!

The contents of the zip files are 2 reg files that enable and disable the application crash dump feature, this feature is disabled by default under vista and 7 as per the instructions provided by microsoft here

These dumps are required for debugging runtime exceptions, and ascertaining whether the issue is coming from within the game code or code being injected into the binary externally, such as from an old version of fraps, or dxtory, or other tool that hooks the process memory.

Re installing C+++ will not help, re installing FF14 ARR will not help, updating your graphics driver or roll backing to an older driver won't work ether. The R6025 runtime error is a corrupted code error, usually everything that has been listed will fix the problem but people have tried all the solutions I listed, people who've bought a brand new computer have even got this error.

In short this is a bad code on SE end, this problem has been around since the start of live and there's even 2 topics one with 35 pages and one with around 5 pages, SE has chosen to ignore that this is an actual problem.

Are you serious? You just moved this thread here when it was already in the bug reports, and now you want someone to post it back? I really appreciate a response to this on going technical/bug error that a lot of us, including myself, are experiencing, but why give us the run around?
