    Besaid already does player run quests, and from what I here, a couple of RP ls's task you with finding certain items and/or fighting NMs and whatnot as a test to get into their shell.

    I haven't heard of anything as generous as giving a Dodore Doublet away as a prize yet, but the principal has been in practice since before the Starlight Celebration at the latest, possibly before that. I'm no roleplayer, but even I've taken part in a little player run quest on Besaid.
