PLEASE stop telling summoners to use Ifrit!!!

Ifrit takes time away from DPS when you have to continually move him out of AOE around the boss. Caster-type pets are much easier to manage than Attacker-type pets :/.

I think these two pets might do about the same sort of dmg anyway, but I find it hard to keep up with managing Ifrit when I'm working hard on dps-ing things down .

It also might be down to personal preference too, but I do agree OP, I hate idiots who tell you how to play when they don't even have level 1 in the class >.>.

I was a scholar until 47 but I decided to grab summoner as a DPS backup. Due to this I was able to play around with all 3 egis at once to compare. And when fighting random quest mobs last night I brought out Ifrit he did some puny 68 damage and when I brought out Garuda, she did 208 damage in the same amount of time. I didn't use any parsers, I just visually tested both egis on the same type of mob. It's kind of annoying to have to constantly put Garuda on obey so she doesn't spam Contagion at the wrong time BUT she does more damage, stays far away (unlike Ifrit who runs close, takes 2 hits and dies) and can be useful for the summoners skills themselves. I didn't check how much damage Titan does but since he's a tank pet I figured it's pointless to compare him.



I guess Ifrit is supposed to make up for the lack of attack by attacking faster but since he attacks like a snail, he just plain sucks. Did the developers ever say they're gonna address this issue? It's a shame poor Ifrit-kun is destined to be on the bench until further notice.

SE should give us a reason to use Different pets for different situations.

Ifrit should be good for trash mobs while Garuda for boss enemies.

Ifrit should have high burst attacks which would be good for short battles. The cool down would recover by the time you get to the next trash mob group.

Ifrit also needs his crimson cyclone to be converted into a gap closer skill.

what i take from all of this is that titan is clearly the winner.
