    GP Issue or am I missing something?

    Hello gatherers,
    As my DoLs' level move higher.. I notice the GP regen issue more

    To me, at the current state increasing my max GP only allows me to perform maybe 1 more skill if I arrive nodes with full GP.
    Once its value hits 0, I'm no difference to a DoL without GP gears

    While having higher maximum GP, the time I need to wait for it to be fully functioning also increased.
    It's actually having me to wait more after crafting in cities (or even simply switching gears for repair), then go to gather.

    If the above case is true for many of us..

    I'd like to suggest SE to consider adding a NPC in Cities and camps, perhaps typical "Pay some gil I'll restore that for you" style, with a cooldown limit on how many times we can use it within a hour or so.
    This way the influence on class switching to abuse gathering + fate (which is probably what SE is afraid of) should be limited.

    I agree that GP could use a bit of work.

    Someone else suggested +GP Regen as a materia option to increase its regeneration rate. I think that would be great.

    I also hope that we can just regenerate GP in the background even if we are not in a gathering class.
    Especially while waiting for unspoiled nodes, gatherers literally cannot do anything else except idly stand around and wait for the node to appear. We cannot craft. We cannot join FATEs or fight monsters. We cannot perform repairs. If we do anything that switches us out of a gathering class our GP gets reset to 0.

    If it's working as intended, I guess they just want gatherers to go AFK while waiting.

    From what we're seeing with the regen mechanism I believe SE does want to limit the item being generated,
    but it creates too much idle time when compared to other classes, especially against crafters.

    Making another post, perhaps another suggestion to make DoL life easier while having the above considerations:
    How about making GP regen rate higher, but with a threshold of certain percentage of our current GP?

    Lets take 50% as an example,
    if I'm a DoL with no GP gears, my GP should be 400, within range of 0-200 GP, my GP regen up to 200 is quicker
    but if I geared up to 550, my GP regen up to 225 has a higher rate.

    Whatever works for SE, I really hope the idle time can be reduced bring the least impact on what they want to limit on

    I like the idea of scaling up GP regen based on current GP, for example:

    +5GP for 0-199 current GP every successful strike or every 3 seconds not engaged with node
    +6GP for 200-299
    +7GP for 300-399
    +8GP for 400-499
    +10GP for 500+

    This would actually make max GP useful for everyone level 20+, not just the first node for levels 1-50 and hitting plateaus on unspoiled. Also, it would put more thinking and strategy into harvesting.

    This isnt what I exactly mean, if it's fully scaled across the whole pool of GP, it will create way too much quantity and also HQ gathered items in a burst
    What I proposed is having simply a portion of the GP pool to have quicker regen rate, which only benefits a DoL by having a quicker "ready up time" after switching class.

    Make the Wards cost less or make them give more shards and I will be ok with the current GP system. If they don't change that then give us faster regen.

    You use GP 3:1 when compared to regen. Taking in to account the 15% base hard cap on HQ, both GP and Perception are trivial attributes for gathering classes.

    It's one of the main reasons it's a mash insert activity. There isn't really any point in doing anything else.

    i find the Cordial item very useful until they increase the regen rate. i think even a small boost would be nice. right now it's 5 points per 5 seconds or something. 20 points i think would make a huge difference.

    While you are actively gathering, your GP doesn't regen at all with clock ticks. It does, however, regen at 5 points for each successful gather attempt.
