Actually, SE has said themselves, several times, that they are not against the rules. In fact they plan to SUPPORT mods in the near future by providing people with the code they need to make mods and integrate them into the game directly.

    So huh yeah, too bad?

I'm not trying to be a jerk here, just saying. SE has said and confirmed several times than using things like DPS meters or graphic enhancers isn't against the rules. They warn that using them could be dangerous for your installation and to be careful what content you put in there, but that's it.

So before saying they're against the rules and shouldn't be allowed, it is YOU who should do their research.

Just because it's a third party application does not make it against the rules. If it were used to cheat or gain unfair advantages, then yes. But all it does is let you review people's performances, which is a useful tool to have.

I don't condone using DPS meters to be elitists, but I also think that they're useful to spot people who aren't very good, and warn them they need to improve. Especially with how Titan and BC 1, 2 and 4 are pretty much all DPS checks, and if you have one DPS pulling 100DPS while your others are pulling 300DPS, something is wrong, and it needs to be addressed.
