I have met a Tank in AK run through DF, he came in and saw me using GC weapon as a monk then he left.

Come on, I forgot to change it to my relic weapon, is that really necessary?

Personally speaking I usually prefer to play with people even in there AF, I was walking around with no "elite" enough gear but I managed just fine. Was hoping a lot of the WoW crowd would go the Final Fantasy crowd are a much nicer bunch of people we like to help others and won't kick you just because your not elite enough. I prefer the journey and story of the game, I don't see the point in always needing to speed run and show my epeen around to others. Yes you have good gear but urm you suck at your job is what I see with most of the elitist players who think they know it all especially when there new to the game and try telling me how to play my job.

Eh? It's not always about a speed run. Titan for example. Many DF groups, and even premades like to rely on a Limit Break to down the heart. OK, but by doing that it means the groups DPS is probably lower than it should be. This causes an issue in phase 5 because he adds a stomp to Tumult every rotation, which can cause issues for healers if it goes on too long. So if your DPS isn't up to par, it's better to know and get better than to be oblivious and drag down groups because of it.

This is just hilarious...of course people should be judged on DPS based on the situation of the fight. Of course a fight that makes you run a lot will make DPS "harder" for a caster...but not to a point where they can't carry their own weight.

Of course Titan can be done in AK Gear and Ifrit Weaps...is that reason enough to do it though? No it is not...just because you don't need it doesn't justify relying on other people to compensate for your shortcomings.

You are talking about people who have better gear than you, but die because they are too stupid to evade/dodge things...welll compare yourself to someone who has better gear AND can evade/dodge things...

And on a complete different topic...the whole "Relic only" thing going on right now is kinda disturbing...but if people don't meet those requirements...form your own group w/o those requirements. People do it on my server all the time and they usually get a full Party going in less than 5minutes cause believe it or not...there are a lot of people that don't meet those requirements, but instead of trying to form their own parties, they get on the forums and cry about "Relic only" stuff...

And on that matter...show some pride in yourself...when I started out in ARR...I had all battle classes lvld from 1.0...but I didn't have any Primal Weaps from 1.0 or any DL, cause I quit before I could get any. That doesn't mean I'm good to go right into Garuda/Titan just cause I can. I took the time and farmed my Ifrits Sword(30 runs to get it). Before I even went into AK for the first time...then I got AK Gear+DL from the points I got in AK. And with that equip I started doing Garuda for my Sword. There I got luckier and got the Sword after maybe 5 kills. But even then I didn't go right into Titan...I finished my DL set first and THEN went into Titan. I don't expect everyone to be like that...but if they are not like that...I personally judge them on that behaviour and call them out for being selfish and relying on the other group members to carry more weight than they have to, because you lack the equip you COULD have, if you weren't impatient and lazy.

PS: Putting 30 points into VIt on MNK, just so you can survive Plumes and Tumults is just hilarious...you gimp the group even more, cause you are gimped to begin with, relying on others to make up for your shortcomings...that's the definition of selfishness in my book.

Sort of how I did it. I would do my 8 AK runs a week, then CM/Prae until I had DL OR AK for every slot on every class. Then Ifrit Weapons. Had Mogfork from 1.0, so only needed 8/9. Then did the same for Garuda. Then worked on Titan and all 9 relics. I also don't expect people to do what I did, but at least TRY to get gear so you don't look like someone who wants to be carried.

Too many people lied to me before.. They said they don't have the gear but knows the fight. I bring them in and they die to landslides and weights before heart. Seriously, if you don't have the gear at least make the effort to learn the fight with df or YouTube. Yeah you can do it with ak gear but that also means theres little room for error.

I love how in every MMO that allows parsers to be used there is always a group of people whining about not wanting to be accountable for their bad dps. They are amazing to help people learn to get better, For those of us who enjoy using them its not just to see how bad others dps can be but how to optimize our dps since we actually give a damn about the group. Don't hate on the program just because you want to be carried for not taking the time to learn your rotations or gear up like you should for tiered content.
