How to make levelling alts more enjoyable

Well no, it has the potential to never be possible due to new gear sets meaning you can never use Myth tomes on your alts.

I have Alts Characters, myth tomes are pointless to me, once i get AF i move on to another toon, i do not care about dungeons or Gear treadmills, i follow the story then stop, guess what i have different ways to play, shocker..

Well, you say you want to try all this content and know how all classes work yada yada, but I think that's a bit of a lie if you're saying you want to do that, but have no interest in being in the best gear doing the hardest content.

I think what you actually want to do is just dabble in the classes, I prefer to treat every class as my main, but sure, if you enjoy not playing the classes seriously and focus on a main and not bother much with your alts, that's fine.

Its a game, i don't play seriously in any of it, i'm here to enjoy the game laid back casually,not work a second job for SE, hardcores really ruin games imo...

seeing how you can get as much ToPs as you want you can easily gear every class out, getting dl gear takes no effort just patience heck relic not plus 1 is still better then most weapons and relic doesn't take more then a day to get. so full dl and relic weapon you can't get much better then that. other then af2 and allagan but those don't matter that much you will get the items you want over time but still its just 3 weeks a class for relic +1 and seeing how af2 gear it's self is worthless why bother getting it? to show something off that took you no effort to get just time?

Well I got 3 chars because it s how I like to play: 1 Mage DPS(SMN/BLM), 1Melee(BRD/REST), 1Healer(WHM/SCH), the DLs are set in the same way SMN/BLM, MELEE, WHM/SCH but anyways let people to play how they want eventually they get what their goal might be, to be honest I don t see the point to rush out to 50 get top geared to be sitting the next years doing nothing "new" but is up to anyone how they play. About the "limit" I think the cap is by char not account that means you can cap the limit by each that will mean you can get 3 sets of classes at in the same week than waiting and so on, well is just a thought. Enjoy the game and don t worry about what others do or think how you should play

I like how people who have like 15 classes leveled up somewhat, that are all under 30, assume everyone with a 50 or two is a rushing hardcore no lifer who didn't enjoy the game at all along the way.

Yes, but you can't gear them. So I'm not quite seeing the point of having multiple character if you can't gear them as well as your main.

It would take 5 months for you to gear ONE job with i90 gear. All gear prior to that is "placeholder" until you get that full i90 set.

Seriously, there's allagan gear, there's Crystal Tower gear that's coming soon, they've said that they are going to ease the cost of af2 slowly... come on. Hell, on your main you should've skipped full DL in favor of af2 just to gear your alt jobs, not to mention AK gear...
