I acknowledge that it is SE's style to be elaborate and verbose on their websites, but perhaps in the future they should save that for the game world and take a more clinical approach for the website.

We spend our whole time trying to see behind the literary facade they spin for us to see what the actual 'content' is that eventually the artistic flare that might otherwise be appreciated just became an additional hassle.

People wanted an official site and forums for transparency, not to be lead around yet again.
However, an RPG is filled with storyline and lore. An MMORPG tend to have storyline and lore on their website as well. Ironically most people don't care for the stories in-game and I've played MMOs since the 90s that I'm well aware of how people will spam through convos/not listen/ignore text boxes and just want the loot. So it is indeed a video-game, but it's also an MMORPG that are a different type of game.

Most offline games don't utilize their website beyond a flash game or basic information. MMORPGs utilize their website for much, much more.

Well do you think you'd win an Oscar for Best Picture if you made half a movie on the big screen and then half in a pamphlet that you get with your movie tickets?

Who knows, since some movies these days sound better in the synopsis than it actually ends up being when you watch it.

Still doesn't change the fact it's not a crime nor sin for MMORPGs to have their website utilized, because as someone said, the people complaining for this to be "in-game" aren't going to bother reading it all. The Vanadiel Tribune was like this and no one read it after awhile so they discontinued it, you could also access it through the POL viewer, which by people's logic, isn't a "3rd party source", yet people still stopped caring for lore and teasers.

Most MMORPG players these days don't care for storyline or lore, Evangela is the best example because all he does is bitch about it being done, so in reality, the best thing SE can do is put it on the website for those that do actually care about it because a lot people didn't care for the existing storyline and lore in-game so why would they begin to now?

Exactly, nobody cares. Why waste breath at all, let alone so much of it.

The only reason anyone even reads the lore is because they are trying to ascertain the "content" and "gameplay mechanics" which it conceals within.
