The order needs to be reversed. If you use this macro while targeting a healer you will attempt to cover the healer's target, not the healer.I--like everyone else--liked the auto-cover of knight's guard in ff3, but I think this would be a little too strong.
Have you tried using the macro:
/macroicon "Cover"
/ac "Cover" <tt>
/ac "Cover" <t>
This makes cover very easy to use even in pugs. Might still be a good idea to leave the un-macrod ability on your tool bar somewhere.
