How to change resolution without using the Config.exe?

Is it possible to change the game resolution without using Config.exe, as on my second PC, the config.exe crashes when I try to save, and doesn't work when I use "Run as Administrator".

Is there a text file of some kind or a .cfg file I can edit to adjust the resolution? I am stuck playing in a tiny window and due to no ingame option to adjust the resolution ingame, it's not possible to increase it

Any help here would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

it looks like the resolution is stored in this file:
    %UserProfile%\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV\config.sys

Width is stored at 0x14 and Height is stored at 0x18. for 1920 x 1080 you would change it to:
    80 07 00 00 38 04 00 00

I only see config.lng and config.rgn here, and when opened in notepad, there is just a little square box. Thank you so much for your help so far though, this is kind of new to me, and would love it if you could tell me which of those to edit

Run the config, go to the tab where you select custom fonts. Enable it via the check box and select one via the dropbox (like arial or whatever), then disable the option again via the check box. Your config EXE should function correctly now.

I know it sounds weird, but it fixed this problem for me.
