Downloading the game.

Hello,

Is it intended for the download to restart in its entirety after losing connection to the internet? I am trying to install FFXIV on a new computer but the internet I am on has strange, very brief lapses in connectivity. My connection allows me to get to roughly one gigabyte downloaded when it disconnects from the server and I have to restart all over again. Is there not a feature which allows you to resume the download where you left off?

It seems to start downloading all over again, but no, if you check the size the first time you open the launcher, let it download a little, close it, and open again, it'll start at 0% but the total size to download will be smaller.

Thank you for your response, had I been more attentive I probably would have noticed this.


Edit: Actually, after trying what you said and reopening the launcher, it doesn't seem like the amount changes, could this be a bug?

hey, Did you do digital download? and if so, where did you find to re download the game?

How much did it manage to download before your connection went down? The game is downloaded in parts (each part is about 500MB or so) that are all separately installed, it doesn't download an already installed part again.
