I really hope they design solo/overworld content in the future that you can ONLY survive if you have your chocobo companion aiding you. Or at least, so challenging that having your companion makes a big difference.

The chocobo companion is a really cool idea and neat new feature of ARR, but they need to do more with it. Make it more worthwhile and meaningful!

It was one of those "one person ruined things for everyone" type deals.

It's one of those "Square saw fit to change it but I'll just blame it on people as if they are the real cause" type deals.

being non-legacy first doesn't mean anything because companions were not in 1.0 both type of servers were on even ground in leveling it.

As far as if he gets better... not really. He can tank NOTHING with two of the tank attack nodes, two str nodes, and two crit nodes. Not even tanking auto attacks. His damage is OK with crits around 200. His healing is unstoppable. He crits Choco Cure for 650+ and regen is 45+ a tick. That being said, he is a hybrid and I did not get the top skill in any tree. It's possible that that skill alone is OP for any tree.

You completely messed up the skill points ... you are supposed to put everything in one role.

Except I had to level a character to get the chocobo, which I didn't get until I had the mount and grand company, plus my kills while leveling would never equal the 217xp per kill that a legacy lvl 50 would get.
