Lots of great things mentioned already! I love the scenery, and the sky and the atmospherics. I love that you can insta-port into duty finder from anywhere! I love that npcs actually look fairly natural. One even walked up to me and pointed at me and told me to not make any trouble! It took me a moment to realize it was an npc!!!

The weather in The Navel being a lava penis (no, really... ). You also fight on Titans big hard pillar, it even has lava veins pulsating on it! Very earthly...

I love the invisible walls. It makes me feel like I'm in a looney bin with no escape. There's a wall, but you can't see it! I also love how you can't drown in this game.

Nah, I'm just being witty. Things that I actually like is the crafting system and most of the boss battles, especially primals and coil.

They really should open the world without the walls, it's pretty horrible compared to most MMOs. And swimming too. After I've spent hours fishing, I really want to drown myself.

    The little things I like...
    • The swirls of sand that the wind kicks up off the tips of dunes in the Sagoli Desert in Southern Thanalan
    • The way snow falls off tree branches in Coerthas
    • The stormy weather lightning flashes from different sides, and the thunder that follows a bit afterward

    Weather effects:
    1. Clear starry night with the pale moon hanging in the sky.
    2. They did a really good job with the Sagoli desert. Apart from the haze, I was really impressed when I went to the southern region. When the sun comes up the entire area gets bathed in scorching light that I start squinting my eyes. It felt uncomfortable but it felt so real.... almost like you can feel the merciless sun beating down on you in a barren wasteland.
    3. Heavy rain, where the raindrops get buffeted around in the strong winds. I remember walking into a house and on my way out when the door opened it was raining cats and dogs, then I thought to myself 'Wow it's nice to be inside a house right now'.

    Other mentions:
    1. Lalafells always standing on boxes when talking to you lol that always cracks me up.
    2. Hiding under a bridge while crafting.
    3. Two lalafells chatting up a female Mi'qote at Costa Del Sol.
    4. Crotch rot.
    5. Sunset/Sunrise at Costa Del Sol.
    6. Being able to fish from almost anywhere in Limsa (low level fish but still neat).

In all honesty, SE could have done a lazy job and left out so many details. But no, they added in so many things that make the world believable and immersive. It's unfortunate that many players take these for granted and all they care about is getting to endgame and grinding. Why so materialistic?

The sunrays? Oh yeah. i love that. In central shroud it was dusk and the sky was an orange and the rays were breaking through the tree leaves and moving as i did, as it would in real life, my hats off to them, It was quite beautiful.

Agreed. They could have done sprites all over the place but its amazing the level of detail and craftmanship once you just stop and smell the roses. Fishing was actually an eye opening experience. I was sitting there fishing in multiple places and i noticed things such as the float place i keep talking about not only was there a waterfall but there were leaves coming down and falling to the patio i was on, i very briefly forgot it was a game, i enjoyed it alot. Then again im a stickler for details.

Only way it would get better is if they had snow accumulate or rain soak you and started dripping, but i can only imagine how taxing on a system that would be hahaha.
