You know, I thought I was the only one that thought that music sounded like something from Castlevania(mostly SotN). No one I know thinks it sounds that way. Nice to see one other person think the same.

The detail on the Fairy models when playing as SCH. Its like SE knew you'd be getting up close for a good look.

The way light reflects off your armor and accessories.

The sense of humor in the game.

The way the grass and brush is so finely detailed you can get lost in places in the Black Shroud.

The huge draw distances in La Noscea. And if you can see it you can walk to it.

Little things I like:

-that you can sit and relax at tables and on benches while waiting on your friends to arrive.
-the weather in different areas.
-how one can turn off character names to take a better screenshot.
-the fact that NPCs look at you as you walk by.
-watching the light and shadows move across the desert or woods when the sun comes up or goes down.

The way male miqo'te's ears wiggle when they do different emotes. Doesn't matter how fierce your character looks, the little ear wiggles are always adorable.

Maybe someone will take the time to do a nuance video as they did with XI someday. Speaking of such though, ARR sadly doesn't come close to how awesome XI was in this regard, and I doubt it ever will considering even the most basic of features SE have been incompetent in releasing!

Just finished watching these again and damn do I miss the lengthy airship, boat and ferry rides. Such incredible views and various interesting things to watch!

I like being able to call a chocobo anywhere in the field without having to recharge a stupid whistle.
I like seeing mob levels without having to /check every mob to see if it's TW or super IT++++
I like not having to drill down through a menu selection to pick everything.
I like not having to eat scrolls to learn a spell like in XI.
I like instantaneous teleportation, and offering that same teleportation to others in your party.
I like being able to actually see earrings on my character (of course her hairstyle mostly gets in the way, but still)
I like silky smooth 60FPS goodness as opposed to FFXI's sluggish 30FPS cap
