I don't understand why you are so threatened by the idea that there's another class that can also heal.

I don't think you actually read my post. Also, nothing you said about other MMOs is relevant unless you're trying to suggest this is my first MMO (it's around my 10th), and using WoW as an example for that is a joke, as I'm proud to say that isn't on my list.

The only thing that makes WHM unique or even gets them into an end-game party right now is Medica/Medica II, and there are posts from Scholar players on this message board who are literally asking for their own version of those spells. THAT would be a threat to WHM ever getting to play in a group again. Even so, other than not having a Haste spell, which just seems to be blatantly missing, I'm super happy with WHM as it is right now.

I just don't want to be forced to switch to Scholar in order to be a "better" healer, and there's a lot of talk in that direction.

Would take all manner of pet fixes, cd reductions, changes to some of the fairy skills etc before this end up being true.

Man, it's like there are two wildly different worlds in this forum. There's people like you claiming you're gonna be forced to be a Scholar, and then there are threads with Scholars complaining they're just not as good as White Mages and there's no reason to bring them.

(You have a Haste spell, it's just not a very good one.)
