    Slow moving Lalafell

Sorry if this is the wrong section, but I just managed to start playing with my girlfriend after server transferring, but I notice something very strange about her character. It moves really slowly. If I had to guess, take the normal Lalafell running speed and cut that in about half. Anyone got any idea as to what the issue is? Again, sorry if this is the wrong area, and feel free to have a mod or whomever move it to where it needs to be.

Maybe it was just a matter of perspective. I know if you zoom the camera all the way out you look like you're moving slower than normal. Or maybe she had her camera at 'taru-default' and the world just seemed to move around her at a different rate. Or she was on a chocobo and got hit with that stupid slow effect after weathering a hit. Don't know, just seems odd given no race in either of the FF MMOs has a pace faster than another.

I agree. it's all a matter of perception. In fact, it looks to me like lala's run much faster than a Roe, given the lala is smaller and needs to traverse more terrain with each stride in order to keep up with the Roe's gait.

Its latency. When people are lagging pretty bad they move very slowly to others.

Slow Movement ... a possible solution...

Check your Graphics Settings. The top listing is for your type of computer. If for whatever reason, it is *different* from what your computer is, it will have a negative effect on your performance.

In my case, I had been living with being a slow Lalafell. After trying many things, we noticed that the setting for my game was Standard (Laptop).

Which was odd. Because my machine is a desktop.

When we changed it to Standard (Desktop) the problem went away and I now move as fast as everyone else.

I don't know how that got defaulted to Laptop and I don't remember anything when loading up the game that said "check your graphics settings" before moving on.

So if you are moving slow - check that setting because that might be the problem.
