Reading back through the thread, he argued so hard that Dark Knight had 0 chance to be a tank despite the mountains of overwhelming evidence that said it was possible.

I even read a post where he alluded to, "I told you so". I don't think he plays anymore but he lost.

I laughed so hard at this thread seeing as how in the end it ended up being a tank like the OP was trying to prove everyone wrong on.

Now... I'm depressed I feel like I should quit. The class I waited the most for to only disappoint me... I really wanted DRK as a DPS, makes no sense to be a tank when they have always damaged themselves for increased damage output.

Sigh obviously my own personal problem but still this is the most heart breaking thing that could have ever happened.

I feel this is a bad mistake that is going to see my favorite class get hugely underutilized. I'm sure it will see a lot of initial use but I don't see it being a dodge or Perry tank, and as we already have a block and a sheer HP tank and more would be redundant. I can't see it working out as those are the only 4 tanks I see thrive in most games. But who knows I may be wrong. Just can't help feeling really let down by this

I have a strange feeling that DRK is going to use the reverse spell (healing magic hurts you, damage heals you) where they sacrifice their HP to build attack power and enmity then lose the Reverse effect to deal less damage, gain less threat, but also actually get healed. Could add a level of complexity unheard of up till now in this game.

it can be stance tank also as u said 1 stance for dmging it self while generating emity and 1 stance for dmging enemy while getting heal all can work as similar as life steal attack but no idea about aoe emity generate

Did you seriously say a tank is going to be underutilized? How in the world can a tank be underutilized? I think we need to wait and find out what it can do before we start saying it's going to suck. By the way, Just so you're not surprised and disappointed the gunner job is going to be a healer class.
