I don't always pug, but when i do, it's with Pretty Ugly Guys
Drk is easy if they implement the job it will more than likely come from Lancer. Drg already have very similar Drk moves. They are both Knights and wear similar armor. Only thing they have to do is make DRK a lancer job and be done with it. Drk job would would give access to soul eater, an enhanced blood for blood, and a few more DRK abilities, also with the DrK crystal they now equip scythes in main slot and a Great sword in the shiled slot or visa versa. The Drk abilities would determine which weapon was used. relics can be done like they do pld sword and shield.

I'll play drk if I can port my apoc over from 11 lol

Why does a "knight" = a shield? "Knights" utilized a large variety of both 1 handed and two handed weapons. The armory system alone would not make sense to make a DRK out of a GLD. Unless dark becomes a tank class, it would make no sense in the entire FF franchise to see a DRK wielding a shield. The moment a "Dark knight" is shield bashing to do dps from behind a target, the class will be stupid. A 1 handed sword, sure. A shield used for bashing or just held cosmetically.. as a drk? I'm sorry that's about as shitty a comparison to drk as xenosaga is to xenogears. dual wielding would be neat, but the odds of SE redesigning the offhand slot to be taken into account for DMG by equipping a stone alone is too suspect. SE always takes the easy way out with things. DRK will piggy back off of polearms or axes so that drk can get blue weapons like extreme mode drops and still equip them or gear from current dungeons while lvling to 50r. LNC, DRG, DRK or MRD, War, Drk just wait for it!

AN entirely new starting job makes more sense in terms of dps utility, opposed to going to GLD. MRD and LNC skills are the closest to the evil abilities of a DRK, alongside some sort of magic caster... gladiator gets mp!!!, people say, so does a THM...It makes a LOT more sense to make THM a secondary or tertiary class for the DRK job. But knowing SE, we will all be wrong... DRK will be Tri-wielding ball and chains or maces/clubs: 1 in each hand and then 1 in the mouth. Lastly, they will import a character model of the judges from the franchise and call it a day Or just change the pants and boots from the WAR AF and tweak the helmet a little.

竜騎士
Dragon Riding Samurai
Fun fact: All classes in FF end with 士 (meaning samurai).
Side note: Classes, not jobs
post limit..
This the best I've got
士 - military man, suffix for profession
I was simply pointing out it isn't called, "Dragon Knight". At least, not in this game it isn't.
Interesting. A break down of the characters had me in the wrong spot. Dragon-Calvary(riding)-profession(samurai/warrior counter) for Dragoon. Which is weird considering Paladin is just Knight (ナイト).As long as I have been playing Dragoon in FFXI and FFXIV, any time I searched for the japanese name for dragoon, Dragon Knight always came up. Even the wikia page states it:
From what I found through search, 騎士(Kishi) = Knight, and the character that comes before it is 竜(Ryū) meaning Dragon.

Not quite correct. The kanji, 士, alone does not mean much and it means different things when attached with other kanji to make a word.
Just like, the word, "apple", in pineapple means apple but a pineapple obviously is not an apple.

"Dragon Knight"), also localized as Dragon Knight or Lancer, is a recurring Job in the Final Fantasy series. First appearing in Final Fantasy II, they have become one of the most famous and iconic job classes of the series.
