Char can't transfer, meets conditions

Hello! I'm having an issue transferring a character from Ixion to another server (Cactuar).

The problem is, after choosing the char and the server and all, it says the char can't be transferred because it doesn't meet the conditions. However:

- The char is logged out (I'm at work).
- The char is not in a FC.
- The char's retainers aren't selling anything, just took everything out of the MB this very morning.
- The char is not in an instanced area (was in the Inn, but left him in Gridania this morning)
- It's a 2.0 char so none of the 1.0 retainer restrictions apply.



Is this a common error? Due to congestion?

I'm having the same issue. A friend of an FC mate on the server I'm trying to get to was having the same issue. It eventually let him through... But I've been trying every second since it got up. Sigh.

Got it working... It's a bug in SE's system. Here's the breakdown:

When the game relaunched I rehired my retainer, but changed her name. Just realized that, so I fired my current retainer and rehired one under my 1.0 retainer name... Retainer came back with even more items on it and some money. Took out all the items and money, tried the the transfer again and boom. Worked.

Seems you need to rehire your retainer under the name it had in 1.0 for it to work.

Seems you need to rehire your retainer under the name it had in 1.0 for it to work.

I can confirm this works, but to make it easier.
Hire a new retainer.
Accept all defaults (click click).
Accept any attitude.
!Important! Name section: KEEP DEFAULT ( will be your old retainers 1.0 name)
Log out (with 2 retainers)
Transfer Works!!!

Unfortunately, all my involvement in the game has been starting from 2.0 era, which means no 1.0 retainers.
Wondering if it is retainer-related, tonight I will try firing all retainers from the character I plan to transfer (as well as stop all MB sales on the other character in the account, just in case). Guess it's worth a shot.

Been trying to do the transfer at several points through the day, but no dice. Still same error.

Same issue here. Girlfriend and I started 2.0 characters on Famfrit as one of our only options at the time, been playing since. We removed all items from our retainers and are logged out of the game outside town. For some reason it shows my character as valid to transfer, but not hers. Neither of us have joined or had anything to do with any free companies.

We both have 1.0 characters and she even deleted hers just as a precaution, but no dice.
