A what? Welcome to 2013.... Where you can be a woman and look sexy without being whatever word you used... I think you need to leave the 1950's behind dear. You probably meant to say "The only place a woman can't be a s***"
Seriously, for once we've got an MMO here that hasn't actually raised the sexism in gaming debate. Let's just be happy that both men AND women for the most part have armour that actually looks like... practical ARMOUR!
Well that's fine if you find this art style appealing. I personally do not. I'm not saying we need to be near naked, but looking like we're wearing our boyfriends clothes and armour just is rather underwhelmingI would disagree (strongly). Unless you are reducing women to only being things with sex appeal. Even then, this game has armor that caters to that, we just aren't forced into it.
I've actually been rather happy with the armor in this game. It's one of the first MMOs where the armor looks mostly the same whether a female or a male is wearing it. I use to hate in other games that I'd see a cool armor set on a guy and then get it myself only to find a plate bikini. I do like options though, so I can't wait for costume slots or transmog.
Sometimes I do want to be in revealing stuff, and there are some sets like that in this game. Other times I want to look like the awesome Paladin that I amI basically like having options.
This may be the shittiest thread on this entire forum.
A woman can also look sexy without resorting to revealing 90% of her anatomy to monsters that want to kill her.
It's fine that you don't like the art style, to each their own. I strongly disagreed because I don't judge a woman's worth, or her womanlyness (I know, not a word) based on looks alone, or how revealing her clothes can be. Saying you have to be sexy to be, or feel like a woman is just as close-minded as the opposing view saying it's more womanly to cover yourself up.
There are also a slew of MMOs that force me into chainmail bikini's. I appreciate that this one doesn't. Like I said, I like options. This game has a mix, and doesn't restrict the revealing stuff to female characters. I've not once seen a character that was a female that I thought was a man. There are plenty of low cut, busty gals I see running around and such (that's not a complaint).
The low level gear does look kinda terrible on most people, not just girls.

i dont know why boys like to rpg girls in skimpy outfits and run around like theyre hot or something, whats the mentality behind getting off on pixels?

My point is that usually in MMOs you generally see male versions of armour be this mountain of steel, while the same exact armour for women is a steel bikini. That may be sexy, but it's also sexist and it's also a major controversy in gaming today.
