An Official Notice is NEEDED - why did SE suspend those with high ammounts of Gil.

It seems you have "Blanket banned" loads of genuine players, but have not even had the decency to say:

Why is this happening?
When will the suspensions be lifted?
Will legit players that were suspended be compensated in any way?

If your going to do this, at least communicate with us.

This was done late Friday, so no chance to use Live Chat, I've sent an email support, still no reply. I've tried the EU Suport Number, but that says they are no longer taking calls at the moment due to high volume...

I'm not talking about goldsellers / gold buyers, I'll be more than happy if they managed to ban some of those too.

But it seems most the high end crafter's / Gatherer's etc, who made made a large amount of gil using legit means have been suspended.

P.S. I know a lot of people will flame, saying we are all cheats etc etc etc, but this thread is aimed at the staff. They are the ones that should be trying to get legit players back in the game, before we quit and avoid SE games.

They have already lost my subscription for now. I have decided to hold off setting up a subscription until I feel I can play without the fear for getting banned for just playing the game. Who want to play a game where you have to rethink each action so it may not trigger some RMT autoban filter.

Lol man im gettin a lil worried myself now, I have made a lil bit of Gil (not a million or anything)'but im startin to wonder where the magic suspension amount is..

I really hope they are actually investigating people and not just skimming Gil amounts for high numbers then pressing [suspend] …

agreed I fear many will hold off on subbing I doubt I will subbing for at least 2 months if at all. haven't logged in in about 4 days now.I have 8 days left on trial. still have no desire to log in and the gil bans which snagged many of my friends who didn't exploit or cheat in any way only makes it easier to not sub or log in. this is very disappointing coming from the 9th most successful franchise out there.

Both myself and my wife have an account, mine is suspended and hers is fine. The only difference is that I decided to be a crafted and made a good amount of gil.

If we do not hear something Official very soon, we will both be looking for a new game to play.

8 millions for non-legacy server and 2 millions for server that came out in september.

SE screwed big time with this, I really hope we get a compensation

I am very certain that unless SE SAID something about them doing it, this is nothing but bullshit spread by people who actually deserved their bans.

While you may not believe me, I know I have done nothing to deserve my suspension.

They must have done something along the lines of what people are claiming (e.g. blanket/automated bans), as most of us crafter's / Gatherer's that got to 50 early and made a large amount of gil on the market were suddenly banned at the same time on the same day.

As such it is wrong for SE to keep us in the dark.

I'm sure many will be banned, but it's the legit players who are really being screwed by this.

I know my account will be un-suspended, but we want an Official word on when this is likely to be.

When the special task force came in on FFXI the ban hammer came down and by the truck load and people said the same thing that they were afraid of being banned but it all blew over and people continued to play FFXI I assume being the same here for XIV
