    Armoire or Retainer storage?

Can someone explain the difference between storing an item in the armoire in an inn room versus storing it with your retainer?

    Thanks!

Armoires are only for specific items, like job specific armor and event gear. Retainers can hold anything.

wow, so it IS true that if you store special things in the chest in the inn rooms it will be there when you come back? that is good. I was wondering also what to do with extra stuff when my inventory gets full, i better look into getting a retainer. havent had access to one yet...

The Armoire has infinite capacity, as well. So basically, anything the Armoire will take, you put there.

I am also a little confused. What exactly will the armory store? It will not store mats, items, or basic gear correct? But lets say... I have a purple lv 35 pants for hands of war. I can store that in the armory right?

The armoire is a storage chest in your inn room that stores only specific items, as mentioned. Seasonal event gear, artifact armor, etc.

The armory chest stores armor, weapons, and tools. Any armor, any weapon, any tool. If it's something that can be equipped (at all; even if you can't currently equip it), you can put it in your armory chest.

Where is the Armory chest located? Is armoire only found in our inn?

Yes, the armoire is only found in the inn room.

The armory chest is opened with Ctrl+I (I think), or by clicking the little treasure chest icon on the menu on PC. Not sure what section of the main menu it's in on PS3, but it's in there somewhere.

Ahhh of course I know the inventory. I didn't realize that the inventory space for our gear was called armory chest. Thank you for the clarification.

So my lv 35 puprle pants of war won't go into the Armoire... right?

Nope, the only armor that'll go into your Armoire is your job specific stuff (i.e. paladin armor gained from job quests, maybe the AF2? (don't have any of this to try it yet)) and some of the event gear like the summer swimsuits.
