I'm serious, it is exactly how it sounds. You've had your fun, now fix this.

What am I ranting about?

- You cannot engage in gathering leves while in a party. Fine, I can get that to a point, you dont want someone to stack beneficial stats that may be useful to a gatherer with party boost. Easy fix: If on a gathering class, they dont get those stats. Why is this a problem? Because if I'm in a party and wanting to do something while waiting for a last member to log on/finish doing whatever he's doing, maybe I can knock a leve or two out of the way. Or, while we're in queue, that was the whole point of DF wasn't it? This comes back around below.

- Unable to complete leve while DF is preparing itself. This one just appeared tonight. I'm in the midst of a mining leve, at the very last spot. Trying to rush it through so I can catch the AK run that just flagged me. What do I get? Error messages on my screen about unable to do this while readying DF. Really SE, that's ridiculous. I recall in a live letter YoshiP himself saying that the entire purpose of the DF is to put it on queue while you're able to do something else, while waiting. But now you're telling us (or not even telling, just letting us find it on our own) that this isnt the case.

I'm not even upset about the fact that if you're in the middle of a leve and you abandon it for a DF pop, you lose progress/the leve fails. While a pause leve option would be fantastic, I can live without it. There, you get one over on us, good job!

Really though; it comes down too..if you want to use DF, which is the main tool the game provides for engaging in activities, then you must be prepared to give up total progress in a leve that you've already started if it flags you. Or, if you're in a party and everyone wants to queue up for DF, you cant do your own thing while in party, because an instance isnt immediately open for us to jump right into.

Now, will these issues be fixed, or is this just going to go under another layer of the things you guys have overlooked/just dont care about?

. . . Did you just start playing or something? You've never been able to initiate any leve whilst in a party or Duty Finder.

New to the game, no, but gathering classes arent maxed out and I relied mostly on story quests and solo FATE grinding for arcanist/summoner progress.

Regardless if its new or not, the mechanic is unnecessary and unless a Rep can provide some kind of solid answer as to why it was implemented in this way and why, what it is meant to prevent, or how it's meant to provide some sort of experience that is in some mysterious way in our benefit, it should not exist in the first place. It is, until that time, simply bad design.
