Party Member Stuck / Out of Sync?

My wife and I play together and are very confused.

I am on a PC via Ethernet (Gladiator), she is on a PS3 via wifi (Archer).
    Internet: Cox cable
Router: Apple Airport Extreme (not the most recent)

From her perspective, from time to time my character will stop moving. On her map, the dot representing me will move correctly. When I attack something, it appears to her that I am attacking at great distance, so my Glad is functioning normally except she can't see me.

This happens in or out of a dungeon. In groups, no one else has had a problem with me and she has not had a problem of anyone else being stuck. It does not matter if we are in combat, running around, etc.

Zoning or re-logging on temporarily fix it. Frequency example: the other night, we played for 2 hours without problem. This involved a dungeon, several very busy fates, and questing. Tonight we only played an hour and the problem happened 5 times.

Any and all thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Not a technical person here, but my first guess would be to get her off wifi?

That said, I play on wireless just fine, so /shrug

Hmm, that may be because of your bandwidth if your ISP limits you (and they usually do), could be a router issue (try resetting it yet?) or it could be the PS3's network capabilities are going bad. Or all of the above.

I don't recognize your ISP, but if it's a local one (especially if in a rural area) they tend to be subject to peak time issues. If you play during off peak hours you may not notice it as much. Zoning and logging in and out is refreshing the data relative to you, so that's why it's temporarily fixing it. But over time the latency makes the send/receive data come slower and slower and eventually you will notice what appears to be lag.

    EDIT
Also, if you are able, try to play connected via an ethernet cable for both accounts. If you no longer notice the issue, either the PS3's wireless is probably going bad or your router is having some wireless problems. Sometimes a reset will fix it, sometimes it won't. If you still have the problem when both connected, it' could be bandwidth and there's not too much you can do unless your ISP is able to increase it (and they usually charge for that) or just a peak time problem.

Started happening to me tonight too. Tank all the way across the map mobs running crazy on my screen. I can't move so I think i'm DC'ing but then I notice I can still talk in chat.

the game's positional update has an inherent 0.3 delay. Try going back and forth on one character and observe it on a different character's prospective, you'll find that the server can't keep up with the frequent change in directions.

Update: Thank you for your replies. For tonight, I ran an ethernet cable to the PS3. We played for an hour and a half without any problems. So far the problem has been solved. We'll be able to play longer tomorrow evening so I will update then as well.
