    Stuck on Satasha?

Am I missing something? The only way to advance the main story at lv 15 is to complete the Satasha instance. But 3 nights in a row I have entered the duty finder and sat and waited 30 minutes each time and not a single other person joined the queue. So I am just stuck and can't advance. Is this intended by SE? A problem with the Duty Finder? Impossibility of getting a group if you are DPS? Or just bad luck?

Try asking for a party in chat while in the area, or join a good FC.

If you are dps, you are gonna have to wait a while, probably more than 30 mins, it has to do with the population of tanks and healers doing the dungeon.

Add to that the lack of incentive to do these dungeons a second time around leveling another class.

Is it intended for you to do the dungeon? yes, is it intended to wait >30 mins? no, thats just the nature of MMOs, always a million dps, fewer healer, and still fewer tanks.

Other than just waiting it out, you can always try chat, joining a FC (I leveled a pally pretty much solely to help my FC)

While you are waiting you can always grind fates, or leveling up another class/crafter/gatherer, but remember not to join a fate group, since it will kick you out of your queue.

Ask in the forums under your server for peeps who want to do Satasha with your class/job. I am not sure if you are in a Free Company or Link Shell but also ask there or ask to join a LS or FC on forums. There are LS's posting up looking for members all the time.

Never took longer than 113 min for me as DD or 1.5 min as healer. Unless I had a DD with me - took 5 mins as healer then. So lfm for a healer or tank in the open world and que.

Also - select all the languages in the Duty Finder instead of leaving just the default one there - this will speed up matching as well.

My observation in duty finder is that whilst you are at the back of the queue, it won't do any matching, so it might appear as though nothing is happening.

When you reach the front of the queue you will suddenly see the other slots filling up, and generally it will only be a minute or two until there is a full party (by which time someone will more than likely have gone AFK waiting, and miss the window, but don't worry, when this happens a replacement is usually found very quickly, as you are at the top of the queue).

But yes, budget for up to an hour if you are solo queuing for the low dungeons, and if you can find a tank or healer to queue with you should find it much faster. And as others have suggested selecting all languages (don't worry, these dungeons aren't hard and communication usually it's a barrier) can speed things up. If you don't mind missing part of the instance to progress faster, then also select "Join in progress", although this can be a bit hit and miss.

Hey, pick up crafting while you are waiting in queue! You can switch classes as much as you want while waiting in queue. As long as you queued with the class you want to run it with, you can play anything else while waiting. So if you queued as a therm switched to a weaver. You can level your weaving while your therm is in queue. Once it pops you simply switch back to a therm and be on your merry way of killing.

Naaahh!! I never thought of it! Great tip, thanks.

BTW I discovered yesterday that the dungeons are cross-worlds. Is this after patch? I never bothered to check before.

Duty Finder has always been cross-server. It's actually gotten less cross-server since launch; they've divided servers into groups for the DF, so you won't be grouped with people from every server, only those within your server's group.
