legacy player transfers

Ok if I understand correctly legacy players can only transfer to legacy servers. Then how the hell am I supposed to transfer to an NA legacy server if they are all full? Especially if I want to go to hyperion where all my friends are wtg SE what a joke

Same issue with a friend of mine that didn't get the orginal transfer in time, need him on hyperion with our shell.

Yeah, SE screwed up big time by not allowing Legacy players to leave for non-Legacy servers. It could have been done so easily... just allow them to forfeit their gil and items if there's any concern of economic impacts.

Instead, this is happening.

I can't even get my character to show up on the transfer page anyhow let alone try to transfer to any server at this point

It has nothing to do with Legacy Players. It's ANY character created on a Legacy Server, even new ones, cannot move to non-Legacy. Because they've been exposed to the economy. Also, servers tend to open up at weird times, like early in the morning. It's an automated system, so keep checking.

I had a friend who couldn't create a character on Excalibur for weeks because it was full and finally gave up and made a character on a normal server, anticipating the transfers that were promised.
Now they can't transfer to Excalibur because it is full and have decided that the game isn't worth the effort.

Squeenix's response is "Oops, we didn't learn from our mistakes, deal with it."

So now they've lost a customer. One of many who have quit the game because of their butterfingery ball dropping I'm sure. And potential others who have stayed so far away from this game because of the reports they've heard from their friends.
I don't see the game going under for this, but Squeenix seems to be turning away interested customers at the door and telling them not to come back.

IMO, this is a stupid move on Squenix's part. Anyone should be able to transfer to any server regardless of origin or destination.

If they worried about an influx of money, just do the same to the legacy guys that they do to others. 3/1 mil limits. Besides, the server economies are already borked almost beyond fixing from the stupid RMT / botters.
